Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale
1. Upon request, a quotation shall be provided to the client.
2. Quotations remain valid for a period of 7 (seven) business days.
3. A non-refundable deposit of 50% (fifty) of the total quotation shall be payable on the date of acceptance of the quotation.
4. A deposit of 25% (twenty-five) shall be payable upon inspection of the box section.
5. The final balance of the amount payable, being the remaining 25% (twenty-five) shall be payable on date of collection of the trailer or day of delivery.
6. Trailers are to be collected within 3 (three) days of completion, failure to do so will result in a storage fee of R 300 per day.
7. Timelines are indicated as a guideline only and Western Cape Trailers cannot be held liable for any overruns as a consequence of operational issues including supply chain challenges, outside their control.
8. Where a transaction is cancelled by the client prior to completion and/or delivery for whatsoever reason Western Cape Trailers reserve the right to retain the 50% non-refundable deposit paid and further, is entitled to charge a reasonabl e cancellation fee for any costs incurred.
9. Western Cape Trailers reserve the right to utilise the pictures of trailer complete with branding and/or equipment for marketing purposes.
10. Warranty excludes any wilful abuse or where he product is used outside its design parameters, refer to warranty statement on collection of trailer
11. The client also holds Western Cape Trailers harmless and Indemnifies Western Cape Trailers in respect of any and all liability that may arise as a consequence of any licensing and/or patent issues that may apply in respect of the specification, design and manufacturing of the product.
12. All goods remain the property of Western Cape Trailers and will not be released until the invoiced amount is paid in full where an item is removed without payment in full being made this will constitute theft and criminal charges will be considered.
13. Generator Boxes are built in accordance with the strict instructions of the client. The client holds Western Cape Trailers harmless and Indemnifies Western Cape Trailers in respect of liability that may occur as a consequence of the operation of the generator or generator box.
14. The client accepts that due to the manual manufacturing process small scratches and dents may occur on body work, Western Cape
Trailers will however endeavour to ensure that this is kept to a bare minimum should it occur.
15. The client accepts that due to the high heat generated in the galvanising process, trailers may occasionally warp and will be straightened to the best of Western Cape Trailers ability.
16. The client holds Western Cape Trailers harmless and Indemnifies Western Cape Trailers in respect of any and all liability that may arise as a consequence of the operation of any Stage or Platform area installed on or to a trailer.
17. Management and or the business will not be held responsible or liable for loss or damage to any goods or equipment not collected after payment is made or any goods stored or left in our factory or facilities for any reason whatsoever.
18. Handover and collection of the finished product will be at the Western Cape Trailers Factory – Delivery can be arranged for a nominal fee.
19. Fitment of equipment not supplied by Western Cape Trailers will be charged at R 450 per Hour
20. Western Cape Trailers will not be held liable should a trailer being purchased exceed the legal towing limit of the tow vehicle. It’s the client’s responsibility to contact the vehicle manufacturer to verify the legal towing limit of their vehicle.
21. The client holds Western Cape Trailers harmless and Indemnifies Western Cape Trailers in respect of any LED trailer lights not being compatible with the towing vehicle.
22. Western Cape Trailers takes no responsibility for any branding, any issues need to be addressed directly with the supplier.
